DISPUTE RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE

Mr. Mainland has served as an arbitrator and mediator since 1993, combining that practice with representing clients in arbitration and litigation.  He presently works full-time as an arbitrator and mediator.  He has served as a neutral arbitrator in over 250 matters, including service as Chair of many three-arbitrator panels.  His experience covers a wide variety of complex commercial disputes, including breach of contract, partnership and shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, intellectual property (trademark, copyright and patent), trade secrets, employment, real estate, legal fee and attorney malpractice, ERISA, securities and investment disputes, fraud and business torts.  

Mr. Mainland is a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and the American College of Trial Lawyers.  He is member of the following panels:

Mr. Mainland's arbitration and mediation experience has covered a variety of industries, including motion picture and television, music and talent agencies, videogame publishing and development, securities (including broker-dealers, investment advisers and hedge funds), medical devices, healthcare, real estate, accounting, legal services (including attorney malpractice), apparel importing, franchising, partnership and LLC, trademark licensing, manufacturing and wholesale and retail distribution.

Mr. Mainland is experienced in conducting arbitration hearings and mediations remotely using the ZOOM videoconference platform.
